Petit Jean Medical began as a small, family-owned business focused on serving patients and referrals in their local community. Now with more than 20 years of experience, Brad credits Petit Jean’s embrace of technology and adaptable mindset as he and his team have grown the business to serve the entire state of Arkansas.

Challenge

Before adopting Parachute Health, Brad had to navigate the complexities of different product categories, different insurances, and different referral sources that all present unique challenges and opportunities. “If you want to be a full-spectrum DME focused on outcomes, without these advances in technology, the rules are just too complex to make it. Product categories and insurance requirements can be as different from one another as night & day,” Brad said.

As Petit Jean Medical partnered with Parachute Health, the challenges navigating DME became an opportunity. Andy, who has helped grow Petit Jean over the last ten years, describes the value of the Parachute Platform: “Parachute eliminates the data entry for us. 80% of our lift used to be focused on just gathering the documentation required. Payroll expense was an incredible burden. We had an office full of people working to get claims paid. Now with Parachute we have grown at least 30% without adding any headcount,” Andy said.

Results

Petit Jean Medical is now serving more referrals than ever, and more referrals are recognizing their differentiated service. “We are seeing an explosion state-wide of clinicians that are already ordering on Parachute, and they are telling us that we communicate faster than any supplier they work with,” Brad said. “My inbox in Parachute is full of ‘thank you so much, we’ve never had anyone take care of us like this’,” Andy added.

Referrals are seeing the value of Parachute Health too. Andy notes: “We’ve observed that an order in Parachute is filled about ten times faster when compared to a fax order. When referrals worry they may not have time to learn Parachute, we tell them that they don’t have time NOT to use the Parachute Platform.”
