The Next Industry Shift

Nearly a decade ago, ePrescribing transformed how HME providers received orders.

When clinicians began submitting clean, structured digital orders, providers could process faster, reduce documentation gaps, and get paid more efficiently.

Now authorization is becoming the next digital standard.

Authorization... Inside the Workflow You Already Use

Parachute's collaborative authorization workflow brings authorization directly into the order management platform you already rely on. Instead of navigating external portals or chasing updates:

  • Submit authorization requests digitally
  • Track real-time status (approved / denied / pending)
  • Communicate directly within the platform
  • Tie authorization back to the original order

This builds on Parachute's existing ePrescribing and AI Intake capabilities, allowing both digital and fax-based orders to flow through one consistent experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Parachute make network decisions? +
No. Parachute facilitates the submission and tracking of authorization requests but does not make any coverage or network decisions. Those decisions remain with the health plan.
Will this replace payer portals? +
Parachute connects payors into Parachute to reduce the need to log into separate portals for authorization. Parachute's goal is to minimize portal switching for your team by embedding authorization within your existing workflow. For particular payors, you may still need to log into a separate portal for other details or workflows.
Does this change how I receive orders? +
No. Order intake via ePrescribing and AI Intake continues to work as it does today. Authorization is an additional layer added on top of your existing workflow.
What do I need to do to prepare? +
No major workflow changes are required, especially if you are already using the Parachute Platform's ePrescribing for digital orders and AI Intake for fax orders. If you have questions about these workflows, reach out to your account manager.
