Parachute Health - Associate Product Manager
In the U.S. alone, over 30 million patients per year are prescribed care via paper and fax. The ordering process is long, complicated, and yields an 83% error rate. Discharges are delayed and patients are having to spend more time in care facilities.
At Parachute Health, we’re pioneering a modern approach to healthcare communication. We’ve built a platform where clinicians, insurance companies and medical supply distributors coordinate care; empowering everyone to focus on getting their patients the treatment they need, when they need it.
In the year since launch, we’ve helped more than 300,000 patients. Founded and launched in New York, we’ve grown across 19 states and partnered with 4 of the top 10 ranked hospitals, 5 of the top 15 largest nursing facility chains and 5 of the 10 largest home health agencies.
We have a product that people love, built by a strong product, design and engineering team: Thousands of facilities use our platform to order from the largest suppliers of medical equipment and supplies in the country. We also have huge opportunities in front of us: new user types, new product coverage, empowering partners with our data, making our existing product even more user friendly. We’re looking for a motivated Associate Product Manager that can understand our users, help us scale our product, and build documentation around existing use cases and feature sets.
User focused. You are obsessed about understanding our users’ needs. You are empathetic, curious, and ask questions before offering solutions
A fast learner. Healthcare is hard, and changing it isn’t trivial. You are excited to dive deep into the details and become an expert in the post-acute care world
Hungry. You are hardworking and passionate about improving your craft and the healthcare system
Organized. You are a natural at working independently to complete multiple projects (small and large) and getting stuff done
A technical thinker. You love learning about new technology and products. Your decisions are informed by data and logic. You may have a STEM background at a top university
What you’ll do
Work alongside one or more Product Managers to implement the strategy around business/user goals for features and product areas
Observe user behavior and systematically document user sessions for data analysis; create bug reports, make recommendations for product enhancements
Perform quality assurance tasks such as regression testing, reproducing errors, and debugging with engineering
Make sure your team’s product launches are on track and high quality, and help your team adjust as needed
Collaborate with a team of engineers, designers, and other internal stakeholders to design and build technology products
Nice to have
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical, scientific, or quantitative field, or equivalent experience
A background in healthcare, and knowledge of healthcare complexity
